Group Facilitating

Speaker
Group Discussion

One of my favorite parts of being women’s ministry director was leading retreats.  There is something extraordinary that happens when we purpose to withdraw from our normal rhythms to intentionally slow down and connect with ourselves and God.  It is such rewarding work to prayerfully put together activities for these weekends away and I am always amazed at the end.  Somehow it always turns out better than I planned!  Whether I am teaching, leading worship or offering guided meditations, my hope is that each retreatant finds a spacious environment to be present with God.  Along with leading retreats, I have led many book and bible study discussions that bring fruitful conversation and opportunity for learning and spiritual expansion.  Group spiritual direction and listening groups are also wonderful ways to develop listening for God in ourselves and others.

Therapy

Group Spiritual Direction

Group spiritual direction is a form of intent group listening.  A group is usually 4-8 individuals who purpose to journey with you for a season of 6 months to a year.  These sessions usually last 90 minutes and are strictly confidential.  Group spiritual direction can be in person or online, depending on the needs of your group.

Female Lecturer

Retreat Facilitating

Taking time away from normal rhythms is so essential.  As a retreat facilitator, my role is to offer spaces to reflect.  For silent retreats, I lead guided meditations as well as meet with retreatants for spiritual direction.  For teaching retreats, I will work with you to shape a curriculum and schedule of events that fit the needs of your spiritual community.

Group Meeting

Listening Group

Have you noticed that rather than

really hearing another speak, you are preoccupied with what you will say next?  In listening group, we practice reflective listening to allow the speaker to journey deeper into their story.  These groups usually just meet once and provide an opportunity to strengthen and expand our way of listening to others.
